Services Provided

• CLA provides an online record keeping service for 1st – 12th grade.
• See High School Program Manual for high school requirements.
• CLA will transfer student’s records to and from another school. All records are confidential and are kept in a fireproof file, as required by law, at the school office. We will not accept students that have been expelled or have had any legal, disciplinary, or truancy problems with their previous school.
• California does not require yearly testing. But, we set up testing in the spring for those families that are interested. Contact the school for a Testing Resource list of alternative testing providers.
• Student ID cards are provided.

Parental Responsibility Requirements

These are requirements that all parents must be willing to comply with in order to enroll their children in Christian L.I.F.E. Academy.

• Payment of enrollment fees at required times and manner.
• Complete enrollment forms, sign and return to school. These forms include: Student Information sheet, Parental Responsibility Agreement, Emergency Medical form, Faculty Information sheet, Transfer of Student’s Records form, Proposed Course of Study, all required medical and immunization records.
• One parent at home during school hours, according to law.
• Parent is responsible to provide curriculum, do lesson planning, maintain a record of daily work, and evaluate student’s progress. All decisions relating to educational philosophy and methods, home schooling style, election of books, teaching material and curriculum grading and evaluations are the responsibility of the parents. As it is the parent’s responsibility, the outcome of your student’s education rests on you and your student’s efforts.
• Teach 180 days during the school year, as required by state law.
• Quarterly attendance and grades are to be entered online on specified dates.
• Notify the school if you intend to transfer to another school.
• Mandatory: Home School Legal Defense Membership.

Legal Requirements:

• Christian L.I.F.E. Academy is a private school. We file a Private School Affidavit with the California State Department of Education every year.
• CLA cannot guarantee anyone protection from harassment from legal authorities or legal protection. Therefore, we have a mandatory requirement that each family is a member of Home School Legal Defense Association (no other legal insurance is acceptable).
• Discount Group Rate: $95.00 a year/per family
  If you are a member under another discount group number, we require you to transfer your membership under CLA’s discount group number when you enroll in our school.
• Visit HSLDA’s website and familiarize yourself with your state’s laws concerning home education. You must comply with your state’s requirements even though you will have your students enrolled in a private school in California.
